PREVENTION OF LUNG CANCER

The fact is that we cannot prevent lung cancer completely, but we can the decrease the effect of the lung cancer in the body. If we don’t have the habit of smoking, then we should not get involved with it for any cause. Every parent should discuss and create awareness about the ill effects of smoking to their children. Many people start the habit of smoking in their teenage periods. Therefore, the conversations about the effects of smoking should be started with the children as early as possible. If a person is already having the habit of smoking, then it is high time to quit it. This reduces the risk factor to a great extent. We should consult a doctor to discuss the ways and tips to stop smoking. Nicotine products can be used as an alternative to Tobacco products. Try to avoid the being near the smokers because without smoking, this may cause lung cancer. If we work with a smoker, we should force him/her to quit. Else we should ask him to smoke outside.

Cancer has become one of the most life-threatening diseases in the lives of the people. Anything in this world both positive and negative aspects have a beginning. Similarly cancers were also discovered by scientists during renaissance period. It was Giovanni Morgagni of Padua in 1761 who first did autopsy to relate the patient’s illness after their death. This was the research that first laid to the study of oncology that is the study of cancer. This was the first step to identify cancer in the human body by the scientists.  Later on the research on cancer was continued as its outcome was critical and affected several people. As the research continued several inventions where found in cancer and its types also were identified. Cancer types where identified only when it affected human, whenever new type of cancer affects the body it was included in the list of types of cancer.

Lives today have become too miserable where people are becoming the victim for several known and unknown ridiculous diseases that augments cancer and other disease. The reasons behind this intact are several and none can be blamed for the evolution of these diseases in the world. The change in life style, impact of technology, improper food consuming practices and some of the genetic reasons can be claimed as a convict for these issues. Among the actors in the list the major portion is acquitted by the change in the life style. Unlike olden days people today have very less chance of availing natural foods and certainly in some countries even that is not possible. As the population gradually increases the demand for food also increases and hence the only possible means is treating the crops with fertilizers (An artificial Chemical) which zooms the production. Though numbers of options are available to deal with this disease, but only after the consideration about the degree of infection of cancer cells in the lungs, the treatment will be started. The fact is that people diagnose the lung cancer only at the later stages. But to cure the disease completely, lung cancer should be diagnosed as early as possible. The treatment procedure varies for every treatment types but the ultimate aim of all the treatments is to cure the disease to the possible extent. Since breathing is the most important function of a human body to be alive, the lungs should be protected with utmost care. As the first step, the treatment process for surgery involves the study of non-small cell cancer cells. Surgery process is usually carried out when the lung cancer is diagnosed in the early stage, before the cancer cells disseminate to the other parts of the body.

When a doctor finds the possibility of lung cancer in a patient, then the first test will be chest X-ray. Once the lung cancer is diagnosed in a patient’s lung, then the doctors have to determine the type of treatment depending upon the level of cancer in the body. Usually the treatment will be determined by the staging process. There are various options to cure this disease. But a particular type of cancer will respond effectively to a particular type of treatment. For example, non-small cell cancer will be cured effectively with the help of chemotherapy. Other options are radiotherapy, surgeries. But each type of treatment will have its own side effects in human body. Therefore, though there are number of options available, the treatment should be started in a wisely manner after all careful considerations and determining all the factors responsible for lung cancer. As the first step of treatment, the pathologist should explain the treatment procedure and the success rate, side effects and period of the treatment. Therefore, the patient will have knowledge in prior about the treatment.
